The CEO (Chief Education Officer)
Dr KANG NEE - Victoria Stilwell Acadeny Faculty Advisor; Certified Dog Behaviour Consultant (CDBC); Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA); Certified Canine Fitness Trainer (CCFT): Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer (CSAT); Fun Scent Games Instructor (FSG-1); PACCC-Certified (Provider, Manager, Operator); Elite-Fear Free Certified Professional; Low Stress Handling Certified; Pet First-Aid Certified; Canine Arthritis Management (CAM) AdvocateWhy choose an independently certified professional dog trainer or certified dog behaviour consultant?
Because just as you wouldn’t see someone who isn’t a qualified doctor, you wouldn’t leave your dog’s education to unqualified individuals.
I’m Nee – a scientist trained in the study of animal behaviour, a certified dog behaviour consultant, a certified professional dog trainer, a certified canine fitness trainer, a certified separation anxiety trainer, and a strong advocate of a “Do No Harm” evidence-based approach to dog training and animal care. I use humane, force-free training techniques and games that are safe and effective for dogs and people, and I’ve been helping dogs and their guardians in Singapore and abroad. To promote awareness of animal welfare issues, I conduct training for local shelters, and dog behaviour workshops for the public.
As a certified dog behaviour consultant and professional dog trainer, continuing education is a priority for me. I work closely with clients who often struggle to understand their dog’s behaviour – from puppy stuff to the challenges of growing up, and behaviour challenges in senior and special needs dogs. Continuing education from credible and reputable sources allows me to bring the knowledge and skills from best practices in the professional dog training and pet care industry to my clients and their family dogs.
I’m proud and privileged to have served as a Board Member, as well as being a Sponsor of The Professional Animal Care Certification Council (PACCC), which advocates for continuing education through independent certification that identifies trusted pet care services for the discerning pet parent.
Even while busy training dogs, I have written articles on dog behaviour modification and training for both local and international magazines. Together with cheerfuldogswalking.com, we have created illustrated guides to essential dog training games which can be found at The Cheerfuldogs Freebies. Read my Member Profile in The APDT Chronicle of The Dog.
“Cheerful Dogs, Happy People” – it’s what I want to help dogs and their guardians become.
How to choose a certified professional dog trainer or dog behaviour consultant?
Certified professional dog trainers and dog behaviour consultants do not all use the same training methods. I am a force-free dog trainer and behaviour consultant and will only use ethical, humane, rewards-based techniques that help your dog feel safe in his learning environment.
